Here at Membersy, we understand that our industry-leading dental subscription management and billing platform would be nothing without our incredible employees. Each month, we make it a priority to showcase the talented employees who have worked tirelessly to build Membersy from a small startup in 2015 to the company it is today. This month, our employee under the spotlight is Andy Roberts, Data Analyst.
Q: What is your job title?
A: Data Analyst
Q: How long have you been with Membersy? / How has the company changed since you’ve been here?
A: I’ve been with the company for seven months. Since joining the company, there has been growth across the board. Specifically, experienced hires on the product team are ushering in new processes and tech that improve the capabilities of our product and enhance the overall experience for our members.
Q: What does your typical day look like?
A: My days are often split between reporting duties, database work, ad-hoc analysis, and helping the product team implement new solutions to improve the performance of our product.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working for Membersy?
A: The people I work with are certainly my favorite thing about working at Membersy. That and breakfast tacos on Fridays.
Q: What is a fact that would surprise your coworkers?
A: Prior to my time at Membersy, I worked as a geologist. While the venn diagram overlap between my current and past roles is near nonexistent, I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time at Membersy.
Q: What drew you to Membersy originally?
A: Because the company is relatively small, it provides the opportunity for everyone to have an outsized impact on the direction of the company. Additionally, Membersy provides a compelling market solution, so it was an obvious mission to get behind.
Q: Before working at Membersy, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A: After high school, I worked in the vault of a commercial bank, where I would process deliveries from armored trucks. Deliveries from the Federal Reserve included packages of $100 bills, which totaled over a million dollars in one bag. Talk about tempting!
Q: Where is your favorite place to be?
A: No matter the season – in the mountains.
Q: What is something that’s on your bucket list?
A: Travel to Patagonia.
Q: If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
A: Teddy Roosevelt
Q: Who were your top artists on Spotify this year?
A: Sturgill Simpson, Grateful Dead, My Morning Jacket, Tyler Childers
Thank you for all that you do for us, Andy!
