membersy Team Spotlight: Meet Our Interns

As we continue to scale and grow membersy, we’re proud to offer opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience with a developing tech company. Internships provide crucial insights as students decide on a career path, and we’re thrilled to welcome three new interns to our team. We’re confident that Leslie, Kyle and Bryant will help us champion positive changes in membership dentistry and learn valuable skills along the way. Let’s get to know them!

Kyle-Carter

Kyle Carter is a senior at the University of Texas, studying both Economics and Statistics. He joins us all the way from Sacramento, California.

What interested you in interning at membersy?

The company’s recent growth and the potential to make an impact on a rapidly expanding organization.

What is one thing you know now that you didn’t prior to this internship?

I didn’t know that dental memberships like this even existed. I always assumed each office had its own costs that were paid either out of pocket or with insurance.

What are your favorite things to do in Austin?

Playing soccer at Zilker Park and watching the bats at the Congress Avenue Bridge.

Leslie-Nevarez-1

Leslie Nevarez is originally from Dallas and is studying both Psychology and Digital Marketing at St. Edward’s University. After graduation, she hopes to attend a graduate program focused on marketing research.

What interested you in interning at membersy?

Membership dentistry was a brand new concept for me, but I could tell that membersy was a special company because they offered something so unique. The website did a great job at educating me about their services, and I knew I wanted to learn more.

What is one thing you know now that you didn’t prior to this internship?

I’ve learned how important company culture is when you are in an office setting. Everyone at membersy is constantly buzzing with new ideas, and there is never a dull day in the office. The environment is very welcoming and innovative because someone is always thinking of something different!

What are your favorite things to do in Austin?

Attending St. Edward’s University is such a privilege because I can drive to campus and have a picnic in front of the Main Building. The view of the Austin skyline just doesn’t get any better than that. I love going to Fresa’s for Mexican and afterwards Dolce Neve for some Italian gelato.

Bryant-Yu

Bryant Yu is a Texas native from Frisco, currently earning his degree in Economics from the University of Texas.

What interested you in interning at membersy?

I wanted to gain experience in a small, startup environment and apply skills I learned in school professionally.

What is one thing you know now that you didn’t prior to this internship?

I’ve learned what Scrum is – an agile development process. It seems simple, but it just makes so much sense for organizing. I try and apply it to studying and other aspects of my life.

What are your favorite things to do in Austin?

In no particular order, chilling with friends, visiting coffee/tea shops, outdoorsy stuff, and the occasional concert or music festival.
