talk

Here at membersy, we understand that our industry-leading dental membership plan platform would be nothing without the dedication and hard work of our rockstar employees. Each month we make it a priority to showcase these talented employees who have worked tirelessly to build membersy from a small startup in 2015 to the company it is today. This month, our employee under the spotlight is Kathleen Hauman, our cherished EVP of Partner Success.

Employee Spotlight: Kathie Hauman, EVP Partner Success

Q: How long have you been with membersy and how has the company changed in the time you’ve been on board?

“I have been with The CDI Group since 2009, which was acquired by membersy in March of 2020. (Two weeks before the pandemic started, but that’s a story for another day!). The transition from CDI to membersy has been seamless, and I am fortunate to be part of a growing company, surrounded by amazing, talented people that are dedicated to the DSO’s, practices, and members we serve.”

Q: Do you have any tips for ensuring Partner Success?

“When building relationships with both internal and external partners, always remember to follow the golden rule and treat others as you would want to be treated. Focus on being genuinely interested in other people and their interests, rather than simply trying to get them interested in you. That is how to build a strong relationship in which both sides benefit. At membersy, every day is a unique opportunity to meet new people and learn more about those I already know. That is what I love about my job!”

Q: In your opinion, what are the most important traits and skills for someone in Partner Success to have?

“An essential skill is the ability to listen. Active listening requires your full attention; it doesn’t matter whether you’re on the phone or in person. This involves obvious things like making eye contact, listening, and simply asking good questions. Good questions are far more powerful than providing quick, easy answers. It’s also important to be empathetic, understanding, and consistently engaged. Finally, build trust. Demonstrate that you are always acting in good faith, with your partner’s best interests in mind.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at membersy?

“I love interacting with employees on all different levels of the company and across every functional area. The team at membersy is very collaborative –  when groups of people from various departments get together and work to create best-in-class customer experiences and products, magic happens. We are creating magic every day for our partners!”

Q: What is a fact about you that might surprise your colleagues?

“I never set the alarm. Yet, I am somehow ready to tackle or enjoy every day at 5 am. Yes, even on the weekend!”

More on Kathie’s background:

“I have spent most of my career in the healthcare industry. Prior to membersy, I worked at prominent, publicly-traded healthcare companies managing large top producing teams across sales, account management, and customer service. I was fortunate to work with some of the largest employer groups, brokers, and consultants in the industry.”
